Deep-Science based Technologies to Protect Farmers from pesticide exposure

At Sepio, deep-science based ‘first-in-class technologies are being developed to protect farmers. At inception, Sepio has formed based on the technologies developed at Dr. Vemula’s lab at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (iBRIC-inStem), Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. We continue collaborating with iBRIC-inStem to develop next-generation technologies.

Recently, we have developed an anti-pesticide fabric based Kisan Kavach ™ technology. Kisan Kavach is highly washable and reusable technology. The robustness of this technology to prevent pesticide/insecticide exposure has been demonstrated in preclinical models. These groundbreaking findings have been published in the highly reputed international journal Nature Communications.

Furthermore, we have developed an anti-pesticide dermal gel technology. Dermal gel can be applied on the skin, which deactivates pesticides/insecticides to prevent exposure. Findings of this technology have been published in the highly reputed international journal Science Advances.
